The Countdown Widget displays an animated countdown to a specific moment in the future. It helps highlight the need for action in the face of approaching events, such as festivals, meetings, protests, elections and positive feedback tipping points. widget displays a JavaScript countdown timer.

Warning

The current version only allows for one countdown per page. This can cause errors if a list of pages displays more that one countdown. A future version will allow for multiple countdowns per page.

Parameters

Name Description Format Required Default
date Any date in the future. Dates are written in JavaScript date format. Example:
“2030-03-15-700T15:23:00”		 “yyyy-mm-dd-offsetThh:mm:ss” Yes None
title If included, the title will appear above the counter. String No “Time remaining until”
granularity Choose the display accuracy. Options: “years”, “days”, “hours” “seconds”. String No Seconds
